Week 9: Working on Reader and Book class

 My team member Tasneem Khokha reviewed HW01's assignment. I went over my code and noticed I had some comments on some of the methods but not all of them. I acknowledge I need to work on writing comments on my assignments. I forget all about the comments and I realize how important they are specially after you don't look at your code for a few days you start to forget how it works.  We had similar approaches to the display() method. We both agreed that the display() method was the most difficult part of the assignment. I found using the auto generator great because it help me speed up reparative code.  I was telling Tasneem that my biggest victor was after spending a lot of time on the display() method I fell as sleep for about 15-0 minutes, after I woke up I went straight to working on the display(). To my surprise I was able to write it without much problems after that, like everything made sense it felt amazing.  

In summary, I had fun working on this assignment and liked looking at my teammates version of her assignment. I liked that we got to over our struggles and accomplishments. I will improve on commenting on my methods. The most difficult method to pass was displaying the display method.

CST438 Software Engineering: Week 1

What did you expect a course in Software Engineering would cover? I expected it to cover how to build applications from the ground up and the design behind application development. I thought we would look at other things we’ve been learning in this program, like database management, front end development, and back end work, and then put it all together into one complete project. After completing week 1, how has your opinion changed? Well, I never really thought much about keeping an application’s design maintainable for future improvements or changes. There is a lot more that goes into software engineering than just simple programming. It is  about planning ahead, documenting your work, checking for errors, and testing properly to avoid issues later. CST370 Week 5

Hello everyone,  This week we studied binary‑tree traversals preorder, inorder, and postorder but I kept mixing them up. I finally got it when I attended TA office hours, and it clicked. Walking through Quick Sort step by step helped me see how the Decrease and Conquer approach works by breaking problems into smaller chunks. Then we looked at Kahn’s algorithm, and watching it remove nodes with no incoming edges reminded me of picking a pivot in Quick Sort. Seeing these patterns repeat helped me realize that many algorithms work by simplifying things piece by piece.
